OUR STORY
Lucca Osteria & Bar was born from a shared vision built on decades of friendship, a love of food, and a true passion for taking care of people.
Veteran restaurateurs Claudio Ulivieri and Steven Hartenstein opened Lucca in Oak Brook in 2021 after working together for more than 30 years. Their mission has always been simple: deliver warm, personal service that makes every guest feel like family.
Claudio brings his heart to the kitchen, while Steven leads the front of house — creating an experience where hospitality and kindness are always at the forefront.
The name Lucca is a nod to Claudio’s roots. He was born in the city of Lucca and raised in the nearby village of Altopascio, where he learned the traditions of cooking and winemaking from his parents. That early foundation continues to shape the food at Lucca today: rustic Italian flavors prepared with care and inspired by the seasons.
